My grandpa decided he wanted to do some traveling while his health is stable and he decided to go out west. I asked him if I could tag along for a couple of weeks and then fly home from my friend's house in Calgary. Taking this trip is truly a once and a lifetime opportunity for me. My grandpa is the out west professional. He has been driving back and forth since the 1930's and all of his children have been out there with him. Now was my chance to take a really sweet trip with him.
We left on a Thursday and made it all the way up to just north of the Mackinac bridge on the first days drive. We were trying to make it to my cousin Jimmy's wedding in Minnepolis the following day. We ate at the big boy that night and slept in a hotel right next door. Great conversations we have had thus far.
It was a long hike across the Upper Penninsula and across Wisconsin and I did a lot of work on the home page of memorycrawler.
Once we arrived to our hotel, my parents greeted us at the . . . Read More..

CMU was a university that was within the budget range and was one of the two options my parents said they would pay for.
My brother ended up going there and I ended up staying at home going to Oakland University.
One of the main reasons that I didnt go up there was because in high school when I would go up there to see my brother, everyone was just so into Alcoholism. And I totally didnt like alcohol in High school.
But throughout college I would go up there with friends like Allison, Michelle and others and we would party like no others. I even got in trouble up there.
After the summer of my freshman year, I ended up going up to Central Michigan

for their welcome weekend to go party with the Alpha Chi Roe fraternity (my brothers frat). But this turned out to be a very bad decision because the cops decided to crack down on under age drinking that weekend. Basically it was rainy out and no one was going out to hit up house parties, so me, Dan and Lisa ended up just chilling at the frat house drinking beer with a few others.
Well I ended up wanting to go house to house to see if anything exciting was going on and we went to one house for like 10 minutes before I wanted to leave that one and somehow I ended up bringing the beer with me to the sidewalk. Not 5 minutes later, Dan was whispering "Dave drop it" and I didnt know what he meant for I forgot I had one in my hand. He was 21 at the time so he was fine, but I ended up getting a ticket for an MIP. I really wanted to just outrun the cops because I was in good shape, but that would have . . . Read More..

I remember playing this catapult game at my cousin Dan (dan10878) and Dave (TheMemoryCrawler) Renne's House. We would arrange some of our action figures on these chalkboard trays on the floor and we would take turns firing balls from catapults at each others action figures. The team that knocked over the other team's action figures first won. I would always use these madball action figures heads with the Madball catapult. That was a sweet game.
