Doug gave me a call asking if I wanted to go see a play with him and Emily. It was called "The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged)" and it was supposed to be pretty funny. So, I agreed to go because I was doing nothing else that day.
So, I get picked up my
Emily
to go. First, I love having friends in the drama stuff because I got the same discount as them for just going with them. Hurray for saving two bucks (two whole drinks for me)!
Well, the main idea of this play is that these three guys do all the parts in the plays, covering all of Shakespeare's plays really quick. They took all of his comedies and made one crazy play with it, turned one into a cooking show, covered all the historical ones as a football game, and even did Hamlet four time, once at their normal speed, again faster, then even faster, then backwards.
The best part about the play was that there was no fourth wall to hide behind. They constantly talked to the crowd, went out into the crowd, and even had a few people up on the stage. There were two who went up, one was some lady who had a part just to scream, which she was a little embarrassed just to be up there.
The second person was the amazingly awesome Sven Taylor! I was to help with her part by playing her Ego. Pretty much I ran back and forth on stage to ask as her mind which was running all crazy. The whole crowd acted as different parts of her mind just for fun, it was so bloody funny.
Well, I normally couldn't stop laughing during the play. If you ever see a group doing with amazing play, I suggest that you go and watch. It will be worth it!
