Well here I am putting Waterford and my hometown on the map.
I am sure by the time this site has a million users, waterford will have more memories than any other city in the world.
But this was the wonderful place where so many fun and interesting memories occurred. I made so many great friends here and it was definitely a life changing experience overall.
After my parents divorce, they got back together after about a year and were basically a little bit of a cute joke within the extended family cause they would always say "Oh yeah and bring the boyfriend." So eventually my parents plan this huge trip out to Vegas to get remarried on what would have been their 25th anniversary had they stayed together. We brought a ton of our family from both my Dad's side and my Mom's side and everyone who wanted to go was invited. This is the one trip that I can honestly say that my parents went all out in. I love family trips and hope to have a big one overseas someday.
I remember waking up butt early because my mom had to get to the airport 3 hours early before our flight. I remember Dan and I playing a couple of classic old school games on his laptop in the airport.
Once we arrived in Vegas we checked in and wandered around for a few hours. We had lunch at a . . . Read More..
I LOVE VEGAS!!! I was just there at the beginning of September for a sorority sister's wedding. The tower you ate at on the strip in called the Stratosphere and the roller coster is lame besides the view. There is like a bungy thingy type ride there like the power tower at Cedar Point that is cool though. And the light show downtown is called the Freemont Street Experience...I've got a realllly funny picture of an occurence downtown on Freemont Street...I'll have to send it to you!! I LOVE VEGAS!!

In my senior year in high school, I was the section leader for our trumpet section. It was pretty big. I think we had like 35 members or something. I was pretty outgoing. I would jump around and swivel my hips and say "can you feel it?" like Ace Ventura. At our Band-O-Rama event awards were given out based on student votes. I received the "Spark Plug" award nearly unanimously.
At our state competition, we did a great performance and it was now the time when the awards were announced. They got all the way to 4th place and we got nervous. In 1995 we had received 4th place. In 1993 we got 7th and we got 8th in 1994. Finally, they announced that we got 3rd place. It was so exciting, being my senior year and getting the best placing we ever received. (In Michigan you can't really get first place because Plymouth Canton does every year because they spend tons of money and do totally untraditional things - but that's a different story).
What an goodie goodie. Some of those band dorks are completely retarded. You on the other hand were original and outgoing. Some people are just debbie downers. Here you are trying to celebrate doing well and this guy comes up and tries to ruin your fun.
I know man - I miss marching band too. It's weird, I have these dreams every once and a while that I joined back up and that we are doing a performance but I don't know where to walk because we never practiced. It usually ends in disaster, but they are fun dreams nonetheless. They are so vivid - it's like the exact experience of marching is somewhere deep in the memory banks of my brain.

So.. I decided I wanted to take a day trip to Kutna Hora because I have
had a lot of people tell me its cool. After some rude interactions with the
unfriendly and unhelpful staff of the train stations, I was on my way. When
I got there I had no information whatsoever and I was forced to suck info
off the tourists that were there. I clinged onto some Ozzies with a Rough
Guide and followed them to a huge gothic cathedral. I thought that this was
the cathedral everyone raved about (this church made of real human bones).
But come to find out it wasn't. At this point I separated from everyone
because I grabbed some food. So I got
Bio for "Mike Kowalski" (TheMemoryCrawler's Acquaintance)
Mike Kowalski
I will never know Mr. Kowalski's email address, so I am adding a bio of him.
He was my fifth grade teacher and he was a very cool guy. He would always partner up with Mr. McGuires fifth grade class for different projects (I remember it was always split for certain things)
The ultimate project we did in his class was the 5th grade commercials where we were able to make a product and promote it in our own commercials.
I think he liked me, but sometimes I was just too much for him and he ended up giving me a 5 for being misbehaved.
It was in fifth grade as well that they showed us the birds and the bees video. I will have to scan that document on here...
This was a great year. I remember doing a project on the Aztecs and learning about all of the 50 states and their capitols.
This was also the year of the 1992 elections and we closely followed it. Good times good times.
I wonder if he even is alive these days. He always sounded like he had a scratchy voice like he smoked. I wish the best for him. What a great teacher.
asked everyone to create a new product and to market it on a commercial that we would star in. How ingenous was that??
My product was called "Crusty Crunchies Dog Snacks". I loved being creative and I had so much fun making this all by myself. I vividly remember the day we put all of this stuff together.
During the big day of the commercial shoot, I had Liz Grant go into a room and we came up with the commerical. It was baiscally a knock off of another commercial.
The rules for the shoot of the commercial is that you only get three takes. On my first take, the class laughed sooo hard and there was so much noise that I decided to try again. And yet again the class ruined it. The third time was a charm, but when I finished the commercial I turned my head and smiled, but totally missed the camera (SEE VIDEO)!! It was hilarious.
This video is pretty much the only copy because every kid got a weekend to borrow it to watch and I was the only . . . Read More..
Yeah this is probably the root of why I have this stie setup the way it is. A Quick post that explains something and some media that goes along with it.
