I worked for compuware as an intern and it was soo much fun. I made lots of friends there and learned so much about the software biz.
This building is located in the heart of detroit and that was great fun.
My commute to this place was always a pain in the ass, but well worth it. Many times my commute was easier because I joined a car pool van and would sleep all the time.
In the car pool van, there was this cute little girl that would come on it. (Her mom took her to the sweet day care that compuware has.) And she was only like 4 years old. But I would goof off with her. She drew pictures of me and called me Mr. Dave. I used to do things like eat my tie and do all sorts of funny things. She would say "You are crazy!".
Well, I had business to take care of and had to be away from the car pool for like 3 months on a million dollar deal with care tech.
When I got back to the car pool, there was so much hatred from her. She wouldnt even look at me. I mean I traumatized this girl. I sooo was her first crush and I totally broke her heart. A sad sad story.
Anyway, this location was a lot of fun. State of the art facilities. No company could top this building!
One time for some reason I took a personal day because I had something going on. I cant even remember why, but even though at the time I was driving every day about 120 miles from Flint to Detroit, I wanted to take newsie682 out to go ice skating at Campus Martius park right in front of Compuware. It was my first time ice skating and I picked it up like a charm. I was doing 360's and skating backwards and doing tricks in no time. It was really nice goofing off with her and it was super cheap to go ice skating. I remember also goofing off with a little kid too.
That day we had planned on going to the DIA, but it was either closed or under renovation, so we went to the Science Museum anyways. There were a few really interesting exhibits but a lot of them were for kids. newsie682 liked them because most of them I would act like I normally do (immaturely) and I would mess around and play with all of them.
The coolest thing about this was that the museum has an IMAX . . . Read More..

Most grandparents dont have much in terms of sweets around the house. This one time my family was staying with my grandma
Bio for "Verda Taylor" (TheMemoryCrawler's Grandmother)
Verda Taylor
My grandma was such a great person. She bore eight children. Doug, Mike, Linda, Patsy, Barbara, Laura (my mom), Paul and Rebecca.
She was married for more than 60 years to my grandpa Roy Taylor and mostly lived in Michigan her whole life.
I have the upmost respect for all she has given this family. Everyone in our extended family is so great and I love them with all my heart.
Grandma was born in Ortonville, MI in 1926 and passed away in 2004.
The world will never be the same without her. We all miss you.
for more than a week and my brother and I were really needing some sweets.
So we raided the closets only to find a bag of worthers originals. They somewhat did the trick. But eventually my grandma

hid them on us. It was hilarious when we found out about it and I guess you just had to be there. Apparently my grandma never passed kintergarden where you learned to share.

My friend Dania convinced me and her boyfriend and her sister to go see Michael Flattleys Lord of the Dance. I love the riverdance song and I really wanted to hear it live or whatever and the tickets were cheap so I decided to go. I wasnt impressed at all with the show. Mostly Dave (her boyfriend and I) made fun of it and tried to see just how bad the flutists were panamiming.
The funny part of the night was when everyone was trying to exit the parking lot. Not having anything to drink (I am just a weirdo like this). I ran up in front of numerous cars and stopped them dead in their tracks doing the type of Irish Jigging that was going on in the dance show. All of my friends couldnt believe their eyes at how freaking funny this was. The people in the cars rooted me on. I mean I wouldnt have done this had the parking lot not been jam packed. I love being random and doing weird things.
