I couldn't get out of work early enough to make it to the actual ceremony for Dave and Susan's wedding. I was pretty slammed at work, so I showed up for the reception. The hall was very elegant. Wonderful place to have a wedding. I haven't been to too many weddings, but the food at this wedding was great, by far the best wedding dinner I have ever had.


I felt like a real ass hole because Dave specifically asked me to bring a lighter for the mother son dance, but I forgot. So after going through the hotel, I couldn't find any place that sold lighters, so I walked a 1/4 mile to the gas station (I couldn't drive because I was drunk) in my suit in the middle of the street (becuase there was snow on the shoulder) in freezing temperatures to buy lighters for Luke, Ryan, and myself.

My mom has been my biggest influence in life. She was such a wonderful mother. She loved in a way that I've never seen anyone else love before. She was such a giving woman and I have so much respect for her. She taught me how to smile through everything. She taught me to be strong and hold my head up high. She taught me to love unconditionally. She was just such an amazing woman and I hope that one day I can fill her shoes.

Beth sang at the Crofoot last Friday. She opened for this guy named "Todd Alsup". He was pretty serious about his music career. He had a crew of people with t-shirts that said "Todd Squad" and his fans had stickers with his name on them.

Before the gig I was pretty stressed out. It was my last day of work before my vacation and I had to try and tie up loose ends so I didn't leave Olaf with a lot to do. I was pretty hungry and out of cash. I thought we left my wallet at home but it turned out it was in between the seat and the door the whole time.

I borrowed $20 from Brooke and ate at a local diner. I ran into Dave and Lindsay and two of their friends there and had dinner with them. I was running late for set-up time and had to cut through the line to get to the front to get inside and help set up.

So about two months ago, I had this idea to quit my job and run a web start up company. I guess I was tired of changing jobs every couple of months, so I figured why not try to do my own thing for a while and see how it goes. Its been hard work and often times frustrating, but things are starting to come together a little bit. I haven't made much money, but I didn't expect to make any quickly. These kind of things always take time.

But all and all its been an interesting experiment in terms of discovering who you are. Its been a nice change to work on a project that I care about and I find that I have to force myself to stop working and do something else at 5PM or I would probably spend all on it. Hopefully everything ends up turning out alright.
