It was the summer of my freshman year of high school and I was in Jackson, Michigan at a YMCA camp for Marching Band. I was a little nervous because you hear rumors of things that had been done in the past in terms of hazing and all, but none of that really was a problem in the end. What I remember best is the 2 flute staff sitting on the sideline during our field rehearsls. It was probably 90-95 degrees out and we were all sweating our butts off, and these 2 girls come out in next-to-nothing bikinis. One of them was representing the american flag making most guys in the band want to salute. Well, the reason I said probably 90-95 degrees out is because once they came out, I don't really remember much else about that camp.

I remember that we used to have these toys called "Food Fighters". Kevin and I had a huge amount of toys. I think that we had just about every food fighter. These action figures were a staple in our catapult game.

I remember my first encounter of someone doing something really bad to me.  My brother and I were hanging out one day.  He was riding his bike and I was riding my knight rider three wheeler (i forgot what those things were called). 

Anyways we were passing the backside of this park right next to our house which was pretty rare that we were that far and these bullies approached us.

One of them had a bottle of some sort filled with mud and who knows what else.  My brother got away, but they sprayed me with it.

One time I did something cruel to a chicken. I threw a basketball at it.

This was this annoying chicken that was our neighbors back in waterford. It use to creep around our yard and would piss us off.

This is not on a farm house, this is in the city and these people used it as a pet.

It was just hilarious because of all the feathers that flew as well as all the noises it made. We hated those neighbors and they were total freaks. The landlord said that those chickens ruined the basement.

I remember my sophomore year in high school me and Lorne Deacon went out "Trick or Treating".  We were too old to be doing this but we wanted the candy and thought we would have a good time.  We thought we would be too old to get our candy stolen from us.

On Snowapple near Chris Shea's house we saw that there was a large group of hoodlums walking towards us.  We thought we would ignore them and walk by.  They surrounded us and demanded our candy.  It was pretty scary because I remember some of them had weapons and I remember one person carrying a blade.

We told them we would not give them our candy and when they insisted, Lorne said "No!" and ran away.  I was left alone with the hoodlums.  As they closed in on me, I thought for sure I was a goner.

But then, from out of the crowd, someone yelled, "Leave him alone, he listens to punk music!".  It was true, and never was I more thankful that I had been . . . Read More..
