Her Response:In 8th grade, I was invited to a birthday party for Hilary Maxwell. The party was at her parents' house and the only people invited were couples. My recollection tells me there were four couples--Hilary Maxwell and Tim Hunter, Stephanie McCurdy and Jamie Scheets, Mona Shipp and that guy she was dating (Matt?), and me and Mark VanWinkle. I had no idea what I was getting into when I agreed to attend the party. I don't remember much about the first part of the party. I think we were all awkwardly sitting around and trying to find something to say. We were probably all holding hands with our little 8th grade couple buddy. The guys were all friends with each other and I think Hilary, Stephanie, and Mona knew each other pretty well. I didn't know any of them well. I probably knew Mark better than I knew the girls and we had probably been couple buddies for two weeks.
Anyway, at some point, Hilary and Tim disappeared. Everyone assumed they went to the barn to do it. I don't know . . .
