In elementary school, I thought I was the shit at chess.  My brother or Dad probaby taught me the 3 way move and I used to kick the crap out of everyone in elementary school.  In order to pull this off you basically move the qeen into position as well as a rook in order to trap the king in three moves.  I never found anyone who could figure out a defense....

That is, until I met Theresa Wozniak....

She totally ripped me a new asshole one day and the three way move didnt even phase her.

I couldnt believe that this girl took me out of the tournament when I was very close to winning.  Little boys dont like girls beating them in anything.  This was one of the many reasons why I hated Theresa when I was in elementary school.  We reconciled our differences a few years later....

I especially love her now cause she is posting memories....

Let me lay it out for ya: I finished work on Thursday and I had taken Friday off to go see the Tigers wail on the A's in Game 3.  I was planning on staying at my girlfriend, Kim's, place that Thursday night, but I had forgot my winter coat.  I needed to get my winter coat because they had moved the Friday game up from 8pm to 4:30pm because of the expected cold weather that was coming.  So I decided to go home from work before heading to Kim's.

As I get home, I hear the sound of a lot of water running, like someone was taking a shower.  I thought to myself, "WTF?!?!  Who's taking a shower in my apartment?!?"  So I start to run toward my bathroom, and about four steps in, my feet go *squish* *squish* on the carpet and I think to myself, "oh no..."  Sure enough, the lid of my toilet had shot off and water was gushing out the top like a geyser.  My bathroom had turned into a lake.

Water was spewing . . . Read More..

This morning after leaving my daughters place near Walton Rd. and Baldwin Rd. in North Oakland County Michigan, I drove north on Baldwin Rd. passed some old familiar places I had frequented a long time ago when I was only 15 years of age. Being now 82 years past and having been mostly absent during my retirement for the past 20 years or so, I am truly amazed at the changes of lifestyles and "technology" that has taken place here.

Crossing Clarkston Rd, I recalled 67 years ago driving a herd of sheep around that curve following in a 1938 dodge pickup.

This morning it would be impossible in the bumper to bumper traffic that I found myself in.

It was 1939 that I as a young lad moved on to a large farm including that road intersection. My father moved the family there from the dust bowl of the mid west seeking a better life in a more progressive world. There he became a sheepherder of the farms flock.

At that time the farm was owned by the JL HUdson Merchantile Co and . . . Read More..

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love Karaoke. And it all started with this....

My senior year at Oakland, everyone in my full ride scholarship program
needed to compete with each other by developing some kind of new
technology or business idea. The competition was called the Innovative
Competition and I worked with one of the smartest people I knew in
college ( Andy Baker). It had a 1st prize of 1000 dollars and was
judged by faculty, alumni and people from corporations.

I had been thinking about this project for more than a year before I
came up with the final idea. I crossed out a proof of concept that
would send emails via voice phone calls as well as crossed out some
other ideas before coming up with this. An ONLINE KARAOKE DJ MACHINE!

It was totally insane. I remember sitting down with Andy and being
entirely passionate about how cool of an idea this was. I had already
found an open source java applet that will play MP3's on a website on
the fly and he decided it was a

I took both David (owner of this site) and Danny (his brother) to Paul Abdul and Color Me Bad way back when. David & Danny were so young, they were not even into rap or hip hop yet. I got the tickets through one of my ex-huband's friends. We had great seats. Front row in one of the lower bowl seats. It was David and Danny's first concert. I was trying to party down as I was watching over my two nephews experiencing their first concert. I think it was probably a cool experience for both my nephews, but I do not think that they have been to too many concerts as adults. Maybe the entertainment we saw that night scarred them for life. I remember the next day David, Danny and I were supposed to go to the Roladium to go roller skating, and David was so tired from the night before, he started crying. I ended up having to take them home the next day instead of roller skating.

(David if you would like to add to this memory, have at it!!!)
