the Sun beat me tonight.....:
well tonight i had quite the experience. i left work a little early to make it home so there would be enough sunlight left in the evening to provide me with atleast an hour and a half of ride time.. according to weather.com sunset was at 9:11 but we all know they are full of shit to begin with. well i took matters into my own hands and decided that since the clouds cleared in the area i was riding that i would gain some time.. little did i know that i pretty much suck.
anyways ive been riding these trails near my house which are amazing. they are the pinckney/waterloo recreation area trails. check out this link to get a feel for how massive these trails are. there are over 70 miles worth of trails.. what im linking you to are the waterloo trails alone.. this doesnt include all of the other trails in the area that all connect. atleast the map doesnt include them. well to keep this one short... i was so obsessed with superman when i was a kid around 1st grade that i would wear my superman pajamas under my regular clothes.. three memories that directly relate to this are:

-i took a few of my local friends that lived in the same neighborhood to my back yard behind the shed.. i basically tried convincing them that i was superman by pulling up my shirt and revieling the superman symbol.. haha

-we had our share of bullys.. well my sister was getting harrassed in our front yard.. i busted out from around the corner my superman gear on.. got laughed at and one of the kids threw a rock at me.. i turned around for whatever reason and it hit me in the back of the head.. blood everywhere! my mom comes running out and runs me across the subdivision holding the back of my bleeding head with a dish rag headed for the house in which the bullys lived.. all i remember is the mom coming out and my mom yelling like mad at her.. not what happend after . . . ok well a little background: I was one of the biggest basketball freaks growing up in gradeschool up untill 8th grade before i picked up skating and veered from the path of 'team sports'. I lived the sport everyday. My buddy steve clark and I would own highschoolers in a game on weekends.. we did the gusmacker tournaments too. anyways starting off that career in basketbball involved me sporting these super sweet shoes. the ugliest red and white, mock of an expensive nike air jordan, knock off brand shoe from payless shoe store.. these things were huge. i was probably 4feet at the time and the shoes were not proportioned. haha anyways i always remember me thinking soo highly of these things, i pretty much though they were the shit.. well someone finally said something.. something like "nice shoes" of course in saracism.. they may have even gone deeper and asked where i got them.. dont remember.. anyways that memory has been floating around lately.. not anything . . .
