Crawl Memories Help

This page is the core functionality of MemoryCrawler. It is where all the magic happens. Below this help message you can see the main menu where you can apply various filters such as Memories having certain features or memories from certain locations.

When looking at a memory notice the top section of the memory, where there is the memory title as well as links to primary filters such as dates, locations, categories and memory creator.

On the left bar, you have the actions section. If you are friends with the user, you may request a recollection or even email that person. You may also hide the skin colors to a basic color if the user posted a memory that is not readable with the color layout. You may also click the stars so we can calculate how great the memory is as well as compile a list of your favorite memories.

On the right hand side, you will see more information and pictures of the memory creator. Clicking the Fountain Pen icon will allow you to private message the user.

On the bottom section you can add a comment by clicking the bottom left hand corner. When commenting, if previous comments have been made, those users will be notified of your new update. You may also view your comments and edit them inline when you hover over the View Comments Link. Another Link on the bottom section is the View Media Link. Here you get an inline view of associated media. Use the select box to pick a title of the media to load the full screen shot or click the side bar picture. Owners of the media may upload more, or delete media. Friends of the creator, may upload and attach their own media to this memory (notifying the person who must approve the attachment first). And finally you will see the date posted. At the bottom you will see a Craaaaaaaawl recordset navigator. This is inspired by google and will allow you navigate all the memories with the filter that you currently have applied.

How excited did you used to get on holidays? What was your favorite holiday and why?

Her Response:

I loved Christmas. My bro and I would try so hard to see Santa, but obviously that never happened. But we would wake up between 4 and 5 in the morning and go through our stockings, then put everything back in and go back to sleep. Every year was the same with my bro!

When David Renne told me that Santa wasn't real. Thanks David, I would probably still be a believer if it wasn't for you! Just kidding. My neighbor who was like a grandfather to me passed away when I was 10 and that hit me reallyhard. It was my first encounter with cancer that I could remember. Learning about death was very tough.

What kind of animal friends did you make? Did you have a pet? Or did you hate animals and only enjoyed insects and bugs?

Her Response:

My first dog was Duffer and I loved him so much. My mom tried to explain cremation to me but I was only 5 years old and for years pictured the bad guys blowing him up in flames. I guess this should go with the traumatic question. I used to believe that my stuffed animals came alive at night when I was asleep. I always tried to trick them but it never worked. I loved snakes and frogs and turtles. My bro and I used to paint the painted turtles b/c we thought they lost their paint. Noone explained that one to me.

Boys of course! And books, I loved my books. My mom would only buy me one book at a time and if I read it within two days it was too bad b/c she wasn't going to buy me another one for awhile. I still read about a book a week. I'm crazy.
