2004-10-28 |Florence, ItalyToday I woke up and was lacking motivation. That's why you guys got thatfinal reflection thing. Once I was done listening to that song, I wasperusing through my Eurail time table and I noticed something veryinteresting. I saw that the train to Florence was only 2 hours. Once I readthat, I was set... I was going to see the statue of David.
The reason I was so psyched just to see one statue was because of a guy Imet in Corfu. This guy was great, he and his friends would constantly referto me as THE DAVID. They would kind of praise me a little and it was kind offlattering in a way. They did this probably because I wore the statue ofDavid boxers and also because I wore a halo I made with my toga and alsobecause I guess I look like him. Anyway, one night he told me all about itand how he stared at a mans ass for 30 minutes. I was so psyched.... notabout the ass.... but he was like "it doesn't
A sweet spaceship (Of Which we used to do frontal flips off of)
And Standard playground stuff
Some events that we used to annually do were:
Chess Tournaments
Activity/Obstacle Course Days
Presidential Physical Fitness Day (Of which I got the award twice)
Earth Day (Planting Trees)
We had loads of fun at this place and I was well liked by everyone. There is so much to say about how many classic memories I had here.
with Tim and Jeff Sandzick and some other sweet bandos.
Anyway, on this particular occasion we had some new players. One person, Ryan McLendon played nearly a whole game with us. But at one point he was sprinting full speed with the ball. He and I also had been very competitive sprinters and ran many races in the 200 and 100 meter our freshmen year and so I wasnt about to let him blow me out and get a touch down.
So I grabbed his shirt and spun him around a little too hard. Spun him around so hard that I lifted him off the ground and let go.
It all happened in an instant, but he was hurt badly. He landed on his elbow and was in serious pain. We called an . . . Read More..
This one time on our 8th grade trip to Washington DC, we took our whole group to the Hollocost museum.
But we werent there but 10 minutes when Jason Cooley spit off of this balcony thing.
Someone caught him and then they kicked out our entire school.
People can ruin things for everyone by doing something stupid. Why would anyone punish a group of people when it is one persons fault for doing something stupid?
This type of thing happens all the time in society. Someone can commit a crime and lawmakers will screw everyone else over because one person did something.
People can be stupid sometimes, but Jason was a cool guy regardless. I didnt really want to go to that muesum anyways at the time. I was too young to think about what happened 50 years ago.
Same trip..same kid. Jason Cooley ran and jumped off the edge right into the water! He got into a lot of trouble for that one and ended up on my bus after that. He actually lives in my neighborhood now with his girlfriend.
As any woman who has ever had a baby knows, things can get a little crazy. Especially when you have two in diapers. Well, back when Noel was 1 1/2 and Kev was about 6 months old, I used to feel a little crazy sometimes. I even had some anxiety attacks etc. Every Thursday, I used to go bowling on a "ladies" league. The kids got to go in a nursery while I bowled. Also on Thursday, it was "taco day" at this dive bar on Dixie Highway. I would meet Kirt there occassionally before bowling with the kids and we would have tacos. This one particular Thursday, we got there, got served our tacos, and when I went to eat mine, it already had a bite in it. Kirt didn;t believe me and told me I was having a crazy day. I guess I believed him so I began to eat the taco. Just then the bartender yelled out, "Hey! Where's my taco?". Just goes to show don't always believe someone when they tell you your'e crazy. So now when we are having a particular crazy day, Kirt and I will ask , "Where's my taco?"
Just look at my business card.
Hey.... I have dont a pretty good job on spelling on the website though.
When I was translating it to Japanese, it was like a spell check because the parser could totally not recognize certain words.
We have memories about going into his dads closet and looking at his gun. As well as memories about me fighting him on the playground in 5th grade.
I badly want to hear from him.
Thanks girl! You rule. I will post a washington DC with all my photos sometime soon.
