There used to be these two boys that would come over to our house for a while.  They were Kevin and my age.  I can't remember their names or how we met them.  What I do remember is that, one time, they were over and I think Kevin and I locked them out of the house and we watched them in the backyard from the window on the door in the garage.

Apparently this upset them.  Since we weren't going to let them in, one of them picked up some of Whiskey's poop and threw it or smeared it on the window as we watched.

If I remember correctly, they weren't allowed over after that incident.

We used to have these huge ant hills in the fields.  They were mounds of dirt, probably about two feet in diameter by one foot in height.  There were literally hundreds of ants crawling on top of each other doing who-knows-what.

My brother and I would pour various substances on them or throw caterpillars in the mound and see what happened to them.

One time we peed on them.  Those were simpler times.

One of the most fun group games I used to play while growing up in middle school was bomberman for the SNES. This was one of the few games out there that 4 people could simultaneously play together. You had to get a special adapter to play it and my brother and I would rent it at Video Gamer on the way to my cousins Noel and Kevins's house.

We were all the greatest Pals in the world and we would stay up all night playing this together. We would buy Jolt cola and get hyper from it.

On many occasions my Uncle Kirt would come in fuming from lack of sleep because we just could not contain the fun and excitement.

Many times when I was around that age I would envision all 4 of us living in a mansion together and playing video games. But somehow all of us chose women instead of each other. In theory that would have been a unique friendship of 4 cousins living together.

I truly miss playing video games with those three. We seriously need to do that, but now Kevin is in . . . Read More..

I was the second youngest of six children. My Dad had the most contagious laugh. He died twenty five years ago. But he had one or two funny stories he would tell about each of us kids. He had two stories about me. He waould laugh and laugh about them. They both took place when I was about three. My parents took all six of us kids to a drive-in movie in our station wagon. My dad said everyone was quietly enjoying the movie when they heard a small voice from the back seat say "Heads heads thousands of heads."
The other incident happened when I answered the front door one afternoon and a friend of my parents asked if my mother was at home, I called for her. He struck up a conversation and asked if I had a kitty. "No" I replied. "Do you have a Dog?" he asked. "No", I replied, "all we have are six sick kids!" I think we all had colds or the flu or something. It doesn't seem that funny as I type it, but it makes me chuckle to think how my dad laughed and laughed about it.

I remember the age of 5. That was my first day. That is to say, the day that I turned 5 was when I woke up and realized the world. I didn't know who, where, what or when I was, but I did know that I liked chocolate cake. Chocolate cake and funny hats was where it all began.
