I remember our Primary School used to have weekly assemblies, in front of the whole school. I remember that if it was your birthday, you could go up and say into the microphone your name and how old you were...
I remember my brother, when he started in Prep (the very first year), he would go up every week, and say it was his birthday.
What was the funniest, was that sometimes the Principal (she held the microphone) would ask him what he did to celebrate, and he'd make up elaborate stories to go along with his imaginary birthdays.

My friends and I recently went to "Food Star" which is like an all-you-can-eat dine-in restaurant. We pooled some money together, and dared people to eat a plate of food (often gross, weird food) chosen by the other friends at the table. I remember I went in for the dare, and had to eat crab. It was soo disgusting, I couldnt swallow it, and lost the dare.

You always have like the little kisses in the schoolyard...truth or dare kind of kisses...but i remember my first real kiss with my boyfriend of the time...

he invited me along with his family to his holiday home which is out in the sticks somewhere, and i remember it was absolutely freeeeezing

we went out to the backyard, and saw the beautiful view of the hills below us...we were sitting on mildewed grass, our bums getting soaking wet lol

and ...we kissed! he was a good kisser. but it wasnt very romantic, it was more like ...you know in the film "titanic" when their kissing in the water and their so cold their shivvering? it was like "mm--mm--mm--wa" lol

but yeah...good memory...it makes me smile every time

One of the things I used to always look forward to when it came to my birthday, was the birthday cake I used to get each year.

It was...THE...coolest cake you could imagine, and I got it every year up until I was maybe 13 years old.

It was a fairy birthday cake, where her dress was made out of ice-cream, and they built the cake up around this cheap barbie, that had no legs (they came separately in a little bag)

Awww when I have kids Im going to get that cake for their birthday...
