I remember that there was always this table full of latino gangsters in the cafeteria. For some reason, my friend Todd didn't get along with one of them. His name was Franko and we called him "Franko De Muerto" which is something like "Franko of death".

His name evolved. It became "Franko De Muerto Espierto" which totally doesn't make sense but it rhymed. I think it means Franko of Death Hope. Then it became "Franko De Muerto De Espierto Vash" or something. I think we thought that it meant "Franko of Death of Hope Cow".

Anyway, I remember that there was once a confrontation. I don't know if we threw food or what but they approached Todd and our preppy table and then followed Todd out into the commons area and surrounded him. Nothing happened though - maybe the bell rang - I can't remember clearly.

Here's the story behind my username.  I think it was Derek Conrad that started calling me "Nalel".  Then it turned into "Lel".  And now Dave calls me lellel.  I used to call Kevin "Keevinalel".

Kevin and I used to make weird noises.  We used to say "yiyiyi".  We called this the Dane Fife mating call.  Dane was my childhood bully so it was our dorky way of getting back it him (behind his back).  We used to make this weird noise that happens when you smack your tongue against your bottom lip and make this distorted face.  I will have to find a picture of one of us making the face - I know they are out there as we did it often.

Recently I started using the word "Nalel" again.  It cracks my friend Sabrina up every time that I say it.  I say it like this "Naaaalel" and make a funny face.

One day at recess, these boys were taunting me and my friends. 

They had built a fort out of snow and were throwing snowballs at us and calling us names.  I decided that I was going to be brave and run over to steal some of their snowballs.  I started to run and one of the boys ran after me.  He started beating me up pretty bad.  The lunch lady saw this and decided to tell on us.  I ended up getting in trouble.  I don't remember what my punishment was, but I remember that it was very unfair..  Besides, HE started it!!    

My friend, Lynn, had a slumber party for her 6th birthday and invited a bunch of girls that I didn't know. 

We had a lot of fun playing with "Jem" dolls and watching cartoons, but the fun soon ended.   Two girls were putting on makeup in the other room.  I remember they looked really silly, and I told them that they looked even prettier without makeup on.  That was a very stupid thing to say, but I didn't realize that at the time. 

Anyway, they chased me around the house and made fun of me.  I remember it was really late at night.  I decided that I was going to walk home, since it was only a block away.   But the girls kept getting in front of the door.  They wouldn't let me out.

Lynn's father woke up and scolded the girls.  He told me that it was WAY too late for me to go home.  So I, reluctantly, stayed the night.

There was an old lady who lived next door to my friend Lynn.  She was known as the neighborhood witch, and there were rumors circulating that she had killed a kid for going into her backyard.  She was REALLY old too... 

Anyway...   me and 3 other girls decided to go up to her house, knock on her door and run away.... 

My friend, Kristen, knocked so hard that she broke the glass door!  We freaked out and ran to my house.  About an hour later, Lynn's mother called and said that we were all in BIG trouble.  Apparently, the old lady was sitting in her living room.  She watched the whole thing through her window.
