So EIEIA beach was one of my favorite beaches to go to. Our family was never a member, but a lot of friends and family were members.
The coolest thing about this beach was the big dock. The big dock took about 5 minutes or so to get to and sometimes you would be quite exhausted by the time you got out there.
This was about my second or third time coming out to that dock in 5th grade and I wasnt too good at swimming.
Like you would suspect, I was tired and exhausted by the time I got out to the dock, but suddenly as I grasped for air, Theresa W. from my elementary school dunks me back in and held me under for a second or two.
At this point, I didnt know who it was. As I was dunked down in, I gulped a huge amount of lake water and retaliated by this infraction by coming up for air and punching the first thing I saw right in the face. In the temple to be more exact.
Yes, I will admit I was hated for being such an AMAZING chess player (second only to my astounding wit) however, I will not conceed that poor little Dave Renne would have been injured by my mere dunking attempt. While my swimming and strength skills are mirrored to the above referenced actions, I would never have let my dear friend drown, nearly unthinkable! You see, I was told by a very good source (Elizabeth Peirce) that Dave had a crush on me; and being the little unfeminine, tom-boy who was entirely without positive flirting skills that I was, I thought the only way to reciprocate such harmless elementary school ponderings would be to, of course, bully him!
While, it turns out my informate was severely mistaken, one can only imagine the utter mortification I suffered at the hand (or should I say fist) of Mr. Rene. ( I cried the whole way home, some tom-boy eh?)What Dave will never know (oh until now of course) was that my . . . Read More..
I miss Liz Peirce... I wonder whatever happened to her. If you search for "Iron" on the site, you will see a memory of a time that I burned my finger on a hot iron at her house.
I am digressing....
So in response to this recollection, I will have to say that Liz was right. I think deep down inside I did like you and probably did disclose that to Liz (Since she and I were like peas and carrots.)
OMG... now I do remember being told on for snapping your bra. Although it is a very vague rememberance. That had to have happened before that.
One more thing I am remembering about that day was that you were trying to bully me a little even before the incident (on the beach or something).
This memory recollection is the essence of why this site important. It is soo much fun. (unfortunately I updated your record to your other account and you didnt have permission to give a true memory recollection, so I manually inserted this same story into my memory)
I miss the neighborhood and all the elementary people terribly! I fel like we really did have a group of good hearted kids. Some I had later (not so good) experienced with; others turned out to be my best friends. I am pretty sure we'll be having a 10 year (?) weird that that will only be in 4 years though *gulp*
Theresa and Julie. I was a jerk to both of you. I apologize.
On another note. There is a guy that signed up on memorycrawler and was trying to find Liz Pierce. He says he went on a canoeing trip with her. Who knows? I should stop by to see her sometime. Or next time you talk to her, tell her she needs to give some recollections of memories I have with her.
When I was in 5th grade Burt put on the Wizard of Oz play. We were totally professional in every respect. We had tryouts and I was thoroughly disappointed because I didnt get very good parts.
The one good part in the play (of which you can watch the vids) is that I was the crow leader.
Theresa (twozniak) was the wicked witch of the west and played it flawlessly.
Theresa is going to love these videos so much. I have the whole thing on DVD now.
Thats about all I can say about this play. It was a lot of fun. And I was quite proud that Nick (my best friend) got the Todo part over me! I think thats the part that I attempted to try out for and he got it over me.
Oh well... it was loads of fun. Enjoy the vids Theresa .
Bitch... you were not #1. Please refer to the memory media of the fact that I was the crow leader. (but yea you were pretty funny in your death... so dramatic)
Wheres your version of the 5th grade commercials with Nick Azzaro? Your guys' commercial was pretty hilarious. You were so nervous it seemed Kevin.
lol I remember his death as a crow! It was hilarious!! I would love to watch a video of that. My parents didn't think it was worthy enough to videotape. They were wrong.
Noels recent memory about being in Elementary School and stuffing things in his mouth, reminded me about a time that we were learning about the 5 types of tastes and learning about which sections of the tongue taste certain flavors. To test this, we had an assortment of items like sour juice, bitter coffee, sweet sugar and much more.
Everything was fine until the students placed coffee beans on my mouth and I practically choked. I spit them out immediately and blew so hard that the coffee beans went all over the place.

I feel so bad that you cried all the way home.
Dont you miss that neighborhood though?
