Dave and I met on the Great Lakes Relay. He's a pretty cool cat and on Day 3, when we were on our way to the finish, Dave got stung by a yellowjacket (I think). Once we got to the finish, he got stung again as we were getting out of the car.

My first memory of danger was when I was drowning... or at least I thought I was drowning. I was panicking to say the least and sucking and guzzling up water in a lake.

But then my brother lifted me up and "saved my life"? I say it like that because I cant recall if I was in real danger or not...

This was not as dangerous as the time last summer when I truly saved someones life in the water! Go ME!

So remember when boys are boys and girls are girls, and every one of us had some kind of cooties. Well I was at the good ol family reunion and by little cousins (girls) dicided that it would be fun to chase me down and "get me".
So, me being the thinker that I am, decided it would be wise to run to the top of the double bump slide. Yeah the one thats like 15 or so feet of the ground.
Well the girls, being the thinkers that they are, decided to send one up the slide and one up the stairs.
End result, Chad never got coodies. My ass jumped of the top and got to get eight stiches in the back of my head. Then a big bag of lemon heads afterwards because Dad said I was such a good boy. Thanks Dad, for admitting I'm not a pussy. lol...

I remember I went to this open house party in Year 11...it was totally huge, EVERYONE who is ANYONE was there (including this guy i had a huggge crush on - Liam)

I had been busy all day, I'd bought this new dress I was going to wear that night, and I just had enough time to get home, get dressed and make my way there

I took the train there (which took about half an hour) then finally got there and went in to look for my friends...I remember getting these kind of look-at-my-dress-then-look-at-me weird looks from people, but I ignored them...my friends hadnt turned up so I went to get drinks

I remember it perfectly. I had my drink, and was sitting at this mini bar they had set up there, talking to this guy, when I looked down at my dress and realised it was INSIDE OUT, with the HUGE price tag still hanging out and everything..! I was so embarrassed, and it was SO obvious the dress was on wrong because of the style of the dress...omgosh...oh well...i look back and laugh now :)

I had wanted to see a shooting star for years. Literally. I remember being a young kid and fascinated with the stars; my bedroom in New York had a particularly good view. Stars seem to come out more vividly over the ocean, I guess. But even after all those years I was never able to see a genuine shooting star until the summer after we graduated high school. Brynn and Brett's parents took a bunch of us on a houseboat in Lake Cumberland. It was beautiful. Dean and I were kind-of-sort-of-but-not-really dating, and the night we ended the nothingness we really had (let's be real) we sat on the top deck of the boat watching the stars.

For a moment we both had nothing left to say and then there it was, my first shooting star. I was absolutely speechless. It seemed the perfect time for some reason. And I've yet to see one again.
