Let me lay it out for ya: I finished work on Thursday and I had taken Friday off to go see the Tigers wail on the A's in Game 3.  I was planning on staying at my girlfriend, Kim's, place that Thursday night, but I had forgot my winter coat.  I needed to get my winter coat because they had moved the Friday game up from 8pm to 4:30pm because of the expected cold weather that was coming.  So I decided to go home from work before heading to Kim's.

As I get home, I hear the sound of a lot of water running, like someone was taking a shower.  I thought to myself, "WTF?!?!  Who's taking a shower in my apartment?!?"  So I start to run toward my bathroom, and about four steps in, my feet go *squish* *squish* on the carpet and I think to myself, "oh no..."  Sure enough, the lid of my toilet had shot off and water was gushing out the top like a geyser.  My bathroom had turned into a lake.

We have only gone out to California to visit my Uncle Drake a few times in my life. One time I remember Kevin and I were really into collecting comics. It was the Jim Lee era of X-Men. I was busy trying to buy all of the back issues of The Uncanny X-men that I could find. On this fateful day I came upon a comic book that was pretty hot at the time. It was the first appearance of Gambit. I can't remember how much it cost - maybe $15 or $30. I was so happy to get a hold of it though.

Unfortunately, I no longer have it. I either traded it to my friends John and Derek for some porn or video games or I lost it with some of my other rare comics when Linda lost her area at the antique store. But, I don't really care, it is just a thing. However, it is fun to reminisce about random memories like that.

Speaking of random memories (lellel)... heres one...

Back at the hendricks house, my brother Dan and I used to have these blue metal shades on our window.

These were of super poor quality and I distinctively remember the shattering noise you would make when you would close them.

As well as the noise made when the wind would hit them.  Many times we would be goofing off and would run into them, thus bending the crap out of them.  They probably lasted me a good 10 years or so.  Just looking through old photos helped me remember them.

On my window sill I used to keep various banks and cars.  I also put my pinewood derby car on there too.  Pinewood derby is an event that boyscouts and cubscouts do to make their own cars and race them down a ramp.

Other things on my window sill were these dead sea animals that my grandma gave me.  One was a shark, one was a starfish and the other was an octopus.  They were preserved in this blue . . . Read More..

So the other night i was hanging out, practicing my bass as i normally do. Then, it happened!!! A sound! I jumped up in confusion, to the sound of "Eating Glass" by Bloc Party (my ring tone). I answered my phone with caution. Do to the fact that the screen on the phone read "Dave". So accsepted the call. then A man... no two men answered. it was... it was... Dave and Noel.

BUM BUM BUUUUUM!

We began to speak...

And well that was pretty sweet. it was pretty cool talking to you guys last night. I really wish i would have known about the family get together. I would have shown up.

I guess ill get started on that "Memory Crawler" tune...
I think im going to tryto make it dixieland style.. like the bobcats, that would be the bee's knees.

There used to be this hill on the East side of the playground that we would have a lot of fun on

We would make little tracks and race monster trucks down it.

Chad was for some reason really cool because he was really into cars and trucks and I think he used to bring lots of monster trucks to play with.

But for some odd reason they did not like the fact that we would play on this hill for fear that kids probably would roll down and hurt themselves.

Eventually they fenced off this part of the playground.

It sucked.

It also sucked how you would get in trouble if you went in the woods.

Very overprotective rules. Just let the kids be! I remember playing lots of hide and seek type games in those woods at Burt in after school hours.
