At one of my first basketball games I made a very big mistake.

Someone had fouled Kevin Shear and it was one of those fouls where you took the ball out on your own side.

Well me being the distracted type, forgot which side we were actually shooting on and sprinted across the court really fast. Apparently the whole crowd was yelling at the top of their lungs for me to stop.

But I just blocked them out. It was my moment of glory. So I did a layup on the other teams basket.

It really sucked and what was BS was the fact that the referees didnt even take it back.

I really had a lot of fun at Saturday games. I loved getting to these high school gyms beforehand and I liked wandering around hanging out with my teammates. Practice was a lot of fun too. I miss basketball. I just wish I had missed that shot that day.

So, I have a couple of buddies named Lance and Jeff. My fiance and I had them over for a night of BBQing and drinks. That night we went through a bottle of Vodka, Scotch, and about 24 beers.

For some unknown reason my buddy Jeff thinks it's a good idea to have Pay Per View Porn on the TV while we drink. Then he calls a friend of his over. She and Jeff start making out. She and Lance start making out. I think strip poker was played. And at about 1:00 AM the waffle maker was used(for its intended purpose). I was the waffle chef, and last to eat. Because Lance needed an unholy amount of syrup for his waffle I was left syrupless.

Jeff ended up sleeping on our couch. Lance and the aforementioned gal friend crashed downstairs. Jeff got a call the next day..."Lance doesn't have anything, does he?" Fun in Town 2004-09-15 | London Today I woke up, showered, had a crappy breakfast and the met up with the people I talked with last night.

Ginger and our other friend ended up getting an all day travel pass and hitting up the Tate Modern museum. By the time we got out there I wanted to sit down and write in my journal and I ended up falling asleep to the great view of St. Pauls cathedral. Somehow while I was sleeping some girl was sketching me sleeping. I never got to see it but I am wondering if my hair looked good. :-D

We also saw the tower bridge. That was probably the most amazing bridge I have ever seen. I have taken a lot of good pictures so far of me and my new friends.

After that we grabbed some lunch and ended up going to Big ben Westminster Abbey and Parliament. But when we got out, there was this huge demonstration. So, this morning I checked out of my first hostel and I went directly to the train station at Kings Crossing and picked up a ticket for tomorrow to Edinburgh!! My plan is to arrive and in the morning start this 3 day back packing tour in the highlands. This will certainly be a huge change of pace. I really didn't do a whole lot today...I did have the most amazing fish and chips. I spent a lot of time visiting the national museum. Almost everyday I am in these museums and I get very tired from the sleeping pattern change I am in. So yesterday and the day before I took naps on the nice leather couches. A lot of people do it, so you don't have to worry. I was safe. I was feeling a bit lonely too this day. I think it was because I was out on the city with no accommodation and no one to hang out with.
