Crawl Memories Help

This page is the core functionality of MemoryCrawler. It is where all the magic happens. Below this help message you can see the main menu where you can apply various filters such as Memories having certain features or memories from certain locations.

When looking at a memory notice the top section of the memory, where there is the memory title as well as links to primary filters such as dates, locations, categories and memory creator.

On the left bar, you have the actions section. If you are friends with the user, you may request a recollection or even email that person. You may also hide the skin colors to a basic color if the user posted a memory that is not readable with the color layout. You may also click the stars so we can calculate how great the memory is as well as compile a list of your favorite memories.

On the right hand side, you will see more information and pictures of the memory creator. Clicking the Fountain Pen icon will allow you to private message the user.

On the bottom section you can add a comment by clicking the bottom left hand corner. When commenting, if previous comments have been made, those users will be notified of your new update. You may also view your comments and edit them inline when you hover over the View Comments Link. Another Link on the bottom section is the View Media Link. Here you get an inline view of associated media. Use the select box to pick a title of the media to load the full screen shot or click the side bar picture. Owners of the media may upload more, or delete media. Friends of the creator, may upload and attach their own media to this memory (notifying the person who must approve the attachment first). And finally you will see the date posted. At the bottom you will see a Craaaaaaaawl recordset navigator. This is inspired by google and will allow you navigate all the memories with the filter that you currently have applied.

Where did your parents come up with the name that they gave you? Who chose that name and why did your parents say they chose it.

His Response:

My name stemmed from Davy Crocket and Dans stemmed from Daniel Boone. Typical names, Dave and Dan (To Be Settled In Barcelona), but I bet not a lot of people are named after them. Pretty good names mom and dad. Very American!

Describe a time where you felt in danger as a young child?

His Response:

My first memory of danger was when I was drowning... or at least I thought I was drowning. I was panicking to say the least and sucking and guzzling up water in a lake.

But then my brother lifted me up and "saved my life"? I say it like that because I cant recall if I was in real danger or not...

This was not as dangerous as the time last summer when I truly saved someones life in the water!

While you were traveling, what kind of special places did you find while wandering?

I have traveled all around the US. The Mammoth Cave was pretty sweet. I also traveled to the Hoover Damn, Four Corners, Buffalo Bill's Wild Ranch, The Great Salt Lake, Appalacian Mountains, Lake Cumberland,Vegas, Manhattan,Palo Alto,Pittsburgh, Miami, West Palm, Stratford, Mackinac Island, Lake Charlevoix, all the lakes in Michigan, San Fran, Napa Valley, Silverado Golf resort which was gorgeous, all over Florida, Toronto. Every place I have traveled to has been special to me. I loooove to travel and hope for the chance to travel outside of the US one day.

Fish, lots of different fish. Also, alligator tail. That was actually really delicious! I have learned to LOVE sushi from traveling with some more classy people. I am very interested in trying new foods everywhere I go. I have yet to try Indian Food..but look forward to it!

So remember when boys are boys and girls are girls, and every one of us had some kind of cooties. Well I was at the good ol family reunion and by little cousins (girls) dicided that it would be fun to chase me down and "get me".
So, me being the thinker that I am, decided it would be wise to run to the top of the double bump slide. Yeah the one thats like 15 or so feet of the ground.
Well the girls, being the thinkers that they are, decided to send one up the slide and one up the stairs.
End result, Chad never got coodies. My ass jumped of the top and got to get eight stiches in the back of my head. Then a big bag of lemon heads afterwards because Dad said I was such a good boy. Thanks Dad, for admitting I'm not a pussy. lol...
