During spring break in '05, I took Emily down to Arizona to stay with my great uncle. While down there, we did the usual tourist stops of crossing the Mexican border, visiting Sedona, AZ, going to the Grand Canyon, crossing the Hoover Dam, and finishing the stops in Las Vegas. Our plan was to head up there and stay at my uncle's daughter Julie's place in Vegas and then do some sight seeing the next day and head back to Arizona. Well, we got to Vegas, did some sight seeing (tons and tons of walking), and then stayed the night at Julie's place. The next morning we planned on doing a little more sight seeing and head back. Well, we walked down the strip some more and soon realized that we weren't even going to see half of the main drag. So we just decided we would go find some cheap motel and end up staying 1 more night. We went to some of the lower scale hotels on the main strip, but those places were still way to expensive for a last minute . . . Read More..

It was the summer of my freshman year of high school and I was in Jackson, Michigan at a YMCA camp for Marching Band. I was a little nervous because you hear rumors of things that had been done in the past in terms of hazing and all, but none of that really was a problem in the end. What I remember best is the 2 flute staff sitting on the sideline during our field rehearsls. It was probably 90-95 degrees out and we were all sweating our butts off, and these 2 girls come out in next-to-nothing bikinis. One of them was representing the american flag making most guys in the band want to salute. Well, the reason I said probably 90-95 degrees out is because once they came out, I don't really remember much else about that camp.
