So far my trip is going well. When I first got in to London I met a guy named Esani. We exchanged information as we were walking back and forth in customs.

Right after I got out of there I met a guy named chad. I said to him "So, the adventure has begun" and this kicked off a load of excitement and conversation. Chad was from California and i have a random pic of him giving me the hang ten on the tube.

We ended up figuring out how to get to our destinations and went up to the booth. Come to find out they only accepted pounds. I was a total dumbass, but I didn't want to get screwed on my exchange rate in the airport. Oh well. Luckily Kurt gave me 10 euros and it worked out great. We got on the train and had small talk and exchanged information.

Once I got out of the tube my heart just dropped being in the city. Black cabbies cruising by, all the cute accents, the beautiful architecture. History . . . Read More..

Fun in Town 2004-09-15 | London Today I woke up, showered, had a crappy breakfast and the met up with the people I talked with last night.

Ginger and our other friend ended up getting an all day travel pass and hitting up the Tate Modern museum. By the time we got out there I wanted to sit down and write in my journal and I ended up falling asleep to the great view of St. Pauls cathedral. Somehow while I was sleeping some girl was sketching me sleeping. I never got to see it but I am wondering if my hair looked good. :-D

We also saw the tower bridge. That was probably the most amazing bridge I have ever seen. I have taken a lot of good pictures so far of me and my new friends.

After that we grabbed some lunch and ended up going to Big ben Westminster Abbey and Parliament. But when we got out, there was this huge demonstration. Apparently today they wanted to pass a bill banning hunting. The city was furious with this bill and it was so cute how they came together. I mean, if

So, this morning I checked out of my first hostel and I went directly to the train station at Kings Crossing and picked up a ticket for tomorrow to Edinburgh!! My plan is to arrive and in the morning start this 3 day back packing tour in the highlands. This will certainly be a huge change of pace. I really didn't do a whole lot today...I did have the most amazing fish and chips. I spent a lot of time visiting the national museum. Almost everyday I am in these museums and I get very tired from the sleeping pattern change I am in. So yesterday and the day before I took naps on the nice leather couches. A lot of people do it, so you don't have to worry. I was safe. I was feeling a bit lonely too this day. I think it was because I was out on the city with no accommodation and no one to hang out with. I woke up butt early today, because I have to... its MY LAST DAY! Plus I assumed that the pope would come out really early to come and hang out with me. When I woke up, I found out about daylight savings time and it was even better because I essentially gained that hour of sleep. I went on the net and had breakfast and found out that he would bless me at 10:30. Yes he only pays attention to me, because we are best friends.

Since I had all of that time, I decided to just wait for my Canadian friends (Lucy and Byron) to wake up. They are such an awesome couple. They have been married for over 5 years every single conversation we have is totally great. We go out to eat at really decent restaurants and really live it up. I am so glad I met them and we had such a great time while we were here. My last day in Europe and my trip for that matter... would of been the same without them. Except when they ate the intestines.

An almost terrible (but turned out terrifying) day trip

2004-10-16 | Kutna Hora, Czech Republic So.. I decided I wanted to take a day trip to Kutna Hora because I have had a lot of people tell me its cool. After some rude interactions with the unfriendly and unhelpful staff of the train stations, I was on my way. When I got there I had no information whatsoever and I was forced to suck info off the tourists that were there. I clinged onto some Ozzies with a Rough Guide and followed them to a huge gothic cathedral. I thought that this was the cathedral everyone raved about (this church made of real human bones).
