From My Europe Journals:

2004-09-14 | London, United Kingdom

So far my trip is going well. When I first got in to London I met a guy named Esani. We exchanged information as we were walking back and forth in customs.

Right after I got out of there I met a guy named chad. I said to him "So, the adventure has begun" and this kicked off a load of excitement and conversation. Chad was from California and i have a random pic of him giving me the hang ten on the tube.

We ended up figuring out how to get to our destinations and went up to the booth. Come to find out they only accepted pounds. I was a total dumbass, but I didn't want to get screwed on my exchange rate in the airport. Oh well. Luckily Kurt gave me 10 euros and it worked out great. We got on the train and had small talk and exchanged information.

Once I got out of the tube my heart just dropped being in the city. Black cabbies cruising by, all the cute accents, the beautiful architecture. History . . . Read More..

In my ("I wanna play a guitar phase") which lasted 6 months, I really was becoming better at playing such hit tunes as "Crash Into Me", "Plush", "Take My Picture" and much more.

But I still wanted to learn more.

So one day, I am hanging out at the local sandwich shop (AKA Potbelly). And I acquire a business card of the singer who was playing beautiful melodies as I eat my lunch. He was cool. EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT HE IS TRYING TO SELL ME LESSONS IN A SANDWICH SHOP!!!

Apparently I didnt think anything of it. But now if theres ever a time when Susan is down and feeling blue. She can envision me conversing with a singer/songwriter/sandwich enthusiast and it will bring light to her day.

One day Justin and I were playing Super Smash Bros. Melee at his house and his ferociously fat cat decides to take out a bird from some tree.

He presented it to the door to have dinner on the porch. But Justin and I saw it was batting it around making it suffer. So we did a good deed to the bird to releive his suffering, we ended its life.

So crazy ass Justin decides to get a shovel to bury the bird and he takes the shovel and says "Time to Meet Thy Maker." And he decapitated the poor little bird. Sorry about the gory details Sue.

There's a big Smash Brothers tournament usually every summer called Melee FC. It's held in South Bend Indiana in this huge church. 2 Summers ago, our little smash crew decided we'd like to go. So TheMemoryCrawler , Joe V., Adam, Joel, James, and I headed for South Bend in Joe's car. It was cramped as hell in there. About halfway through our 6 hour trip, we wanted to stop at a gas station to gas up and get some shit to eat. We got off the highway, and found the nearest gas station. However, there was a cop in the parking lot. Since we had one of us (I think it was Joel at the time) in the back part of the car with no seat belt on, we didn't want the cop to see that. We pulled into a parking lot across the street.

We all got out of the car, and it felt good to strech our legs after being cramped up in the car for so long. Something just felt weird, though. We looked up at the sign of the parking lot, and what did we see? "The Lion's Den: Adult Book and Video" We were parked at a . . . Read More..

I and a friend wanted to see the city from a high vantage point, so we were finally able to get over to the Hancock building, and at the last minute decided to run most of the way, instead of taking the elevators.

So, we ran fifty flights. When we ran fifty, we said, 'Why not run sixty?' When we ran the sixty, we said, 'Why not run sixty-one?' Then, we took the elevator the next twenty flights.

At the top-most accessible level, we found ourselves on an abandoned floor, where there was clearly some renovation happening.

We opened one of the bare rooms, and found that not only were we able to look out over the city from eighty or ninety floors up, but we were even able to open the windows and lean out.
