well to keep this one short... i was so obsessed with superman when i was a kid around 1st grade that i would wear my superman pajamas under my regular clothes.. three memories that directly relate to this are:

-i took a few of my local friends that lived in the same neighborhood to my back yard behind the shed.. i basically tried convincing them that i was superman by pulling up my shirt and revieling the superman symbol.. haha

-we had our share of bullys.. well my sister was getting harrassed in our front yard.. i busted out from around the corner my superman gear on.. got laughed at and one of the kids threw a rock at me.. i turned around for whatever reason and it hit me in the back of the head.. blood everywhere! my mom comes running out and runs me across the subdivision holding the back of my bleeding head with a dish rag headed for the house in which the bullys lived.. all i remember is the mom coming out and my mom yelling like mad at her.. not what happend after . . . I remember many times going to Tigers games when Dan and I were kids.  Dan and I were huge baseball collectors and card collectors at the time so we knew everyone on the tigers in the Late 80's and early 90's.

Some of our favorites were people like Alan Trammell, Paul Gibson,Lou Whitaker,
Chet Lemon, Travis Fryman and Cecil Fielder.

Cecil Fielder was my absolute favorite because there was some hype about him breaking Babe Ruth's home run record.  He did accomplish that and I felt like I knew a star athlete and I was also happy because all of his cards went up in value.

After 1990, many people out did him, but I feel that they did it with drug enhancing help.

I really appreciate my parents being able to take us to the ball game.

I loved the ambiance.  I remember having my parents buy me this huge cardboard tiger arm that we would could use.  There is just something about a ball game that really defines America.

My children will also be going to lots of Tigers . . . Read More..

Yes you heard that right children.  Now if you are young enough to be on this website and you still believe in Santa, then too bad.  Just do a google search.  The internet is terrible at how it will give you the true answer about how there is no Santa.

But anyways, that will not stop me from posting the time that I learned there was no santa.

It was you Steve !  You somehow tainted me, just as I am tainting a believer reading this memory.  Now people can post memories about how I created a memory for them about how they learned that Santa isnt real.

This is pretty much the first memory I have of you.  Around the same time we used to go to 313 for games with Uncle Ted.

Post your recollection of the time you told Dan and I that there wasnt any santa.  And if people comment about how this memory shouldnt be up here, I will just make it explicit.  Glad to have you on the site posting memories Steve.

When I was young my brother and father would do a lot of fishing.

But at the early days I used to not have a fishing rod. So I might have shared a snoopy one with my brother or something. But on this particular day, I had to use a make shift stick with a piece of fishing line as my rod.

But the problem with this ghetto rod, was that I could only get it a few feet into the water.

Me being the ambitious one who wants to catch a bluegill or two. Tries to cast it out as far as I can. But soon, I lose my ground and fall right into a part of the lake. It wasnt a dock or anything, just really shallow water.

There is also a shack I need to post a memory about in those same woods that I remember. But I was nice and muddy that day. I am sure my dad and brother Dan laughed.

So remember when boys are boys and girls are girls, and every one of us had some kind of cooties. Well I was at the good ol family reunion and by little cousins (girls) dicided that it would be fun to chase me down and "get me".
So, me being the thinker that I am, decided it would be wise to run to the top of the double bump slide. Yeah the one thats like 15 or so feet of the ground.
Well the girls, being the thinkers that they are, decided to send one up the slide and one up the stairs.
End result, Chad never got coodies. My ass jumped of the top and got to get eight stiches in the back of my head. Then a big bag of lemon heads afterwards because Dad said I was such a good boy. Thanks Dad, for admitting I'm not a pussy. lol...
